  • 1.  PAM 3.4.1 Windows install and access error with client

    Hi Community

There is an error in the installation of the CAPAM client on Windows PCs for some users, which once installed and updated do not allow them to enter if the client is not executed with administrator permissions. It has been tried to install the client without administrator permissions on a different computer than the user's usual one, which works and allows access. The client was uninstalled from the users' computers and reinstalled, but it seems that in some path or registry the profile of the initial installation is preserved, which is why the reinstallation process fails and presents an error again when launching the client.

Note: On PCs that the first installation was run without administrator permissions it works correctly, it only fails on PCs that the first installation was run as administrator. There is some way to erase all the data generated by the installation of PAM, my suspicion is that from the first installation values or records are preserved that are not cleaned when uninstalling

After uninstall, is the CA PAM client folder left behind under the program files directory? If so delete it. Since the users would not have rights to create the new folder under that directory I suspect it will properly install in the users home folder after that is removed.
