PIM ver 12.8 GA on an AIX7.1 TL5

Hi there,

 

An user is planning to install PIM ver 12.8 GA on an AIX7.1 TL5 server.

Is there any concerns or bugs that occur only on an AIX7.1 TL5 server?

 

At the moment, they are using PIM ver 12.8 GA on an AIX7.1 TL4.

They are wondering whether there are some differences from TL4 to TL5 when using PIM.

Certification for AIX 7.2 TL4 and TL5 is something which is planned and there should be release soon which would certify both the TL Levels.

Please refrain from deploying the outdated 12.8 GA version.

On AIX at least use RO89755

which you get from here

Currently, the user is using AIX 7.1 not 7.2.

So, your recommendation is ver 12.8.1, right?

Also, please make sure again whether you would support 12.8GA for AIX 7.1 TL5 or not.

 

Of course, I will strongly encourage the user to use your recommendation.
