Is it possible to record keystrokes within an RDP session in a searchable way? If PAM doesn't have the capability, is it available in PAM SC?

    Thanks

Hi Paolo, PAM RDP session recordings are graphical and do not record keystrokes separately. See the Session Recording section on documentation page https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/layer7-privileged-access-management/privileged-access-manager/3-4-1/implementing/configure-policies-to-provision-user-access-to-devices-and-applications/provision-access-policies.html . I am not familiar with the PAM SC capabilities in this respect, maybe someone else has info on that.

    Hello Paolo,

As informed by Ralf, CA PAM only provides Graphic recording of the session wherein all the activity performed by the user is captured. You are true in your statement that PAM SC has the feature to record the Keystrokes on the UNIX endpoints.

In case you are looking forward to such a feature to be made available in CA PAM, please do submit this as a Product Enhancement Request in this Community under the ideation tab.

    Thanks,
    Reatesh.

    Hi all

    Thanks for your replies

The need is to record keystrokes in an RDP session, that is on a Windows server.
Is there any current such feature in PAM SC? Or is it in roadmap for PAM or PAM SC?

    Thanks

    Paolo

This post is misleading. PAM does have Keystroke session recording for session to UNIX target devices as well. But the question was about RDP session recordings, not UNIX target devices/endpoints.

Exactly. The requirement from customer Is to be able to log (and analyze automatically in an external system) all the keystrokes in the RDP session. Other competitors are able to do this...

Is it possible to do it with PAM SC?

    Thanks
    Paolo

    Hi Paolo,

As far as i know from the Roadmap seen, the current focus is to merge the PAM and PAM SC into a solution that will contain Account/Session management and Endpoint protection.

It's not possible to view keystrokes for RDP in either solution.

    Best regards,
