    Question in relation to licensing when upgrading from 2.8.x to 3.x.

    I have two 2.8.4 nodes, each duly licensed, which I've upgraded from 2.8 -> 2.8.1, .2, .3 and .4.

    1. When I upgrade to 3.x will I need to request a 3.x license or will the 2.8.x license carry over?

    2. If the license carries over to the 3.x nodes, is there any particular process I need to consider when upgrading from 2.8.x to 3.x?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    In terms of licensing you don't need to worry, same license will work on version 3.x

    Some observation which I can share is that there is an RSA authentication issue in 3.x version and this is still to be addressed.

    Also Ldap user import may stop working if you delete any group and try to import.

    Both the above issue had forced us to revert back to 2.8.3.

    My advise is to wait till the above is fixed or you can go ahead if the above isn't applicable in your environment.
