I’m try to apply feature update 1703 to 1709 and after clean tiles but I’ve got problem.
After setup.exe apply update and computer reboot, CA client not response.
I do manually one more reboot for agent is ok.
I search solution. Please help me if you have idea or solution
I have done this a number of times without any problems.
What version of Client Auto are you using?
Are you setting /NoReboot and then letting the Agent do the reboot?
I would enable tracing before you do the upgrade and then look to see if the Agent is starting OK after the reboot.
Hi Steve, thanks for your answer.
I try with CA 14.0 and CA 14 SP2 and same issue
Are you try from 1703 to 1709 ?
For the moment use /postOOBE script with shutdown -r -t 00 force force second reboot after feature update are apply.
But I would like do all with CA Agent !
Please how to enable tracing ?
Are you use ISO ? Or KB in exe ?
Copy it's to computer before apply ?
Thanks for your experience !
To enable tracing on the agent before upgrade do a caf stop at a command prompt
Delete all the logs it lets you a few will be locked ignore those
Logs are in reinstall path /dsm/logs. Install path is usually program files x86/ca
Then run cftrace -c set - l detail
Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
Ok so I made a feature update pass with the / NoReboot option and then I started the restart in the job option on the setup.exe procedure
I activated the traces as indicated above
I have the same problem :
After the final restart of the Feature Update, although caf status indicates that all the services are started the continuation of the jobs is not done
Many files are generated. Can you tell me in which files I have to search?
Let’s take this off-line, and if necessary then you can create a support issue.
Yes, I have tried multiple version to 1709 including 1703.
I am running the setup from the extracted ISO.
Thanks Steve for identifying that the problem comes from Kaspersky Endpoint that blocks connections after installing Feature Update
