No access to software package library. Native OS error: 86 - The specified network password is not correct.. [SDM228482]

Hi,

 

We are getting this error intermittently when deploying Intelli Rollups to windows agents (Win 7)

"Job execution error, no access to software package library. Native OS error: 86 - The specified network password is not correct.. [SDM228482]"

The Scalability server for this Agent is running on Linux.

We have not shared the SDLIBRARY$. The SD Agent is therefore using NOSLESS

The Job was submitted to +- 500 machines and it failed on random machines. Some machines using the same Scalability were successful.

If we renew the Job on a few failed machines it succeeds (still using NOSLESS) with exactly the same credentials / configuration on the same agent using the same Scalability. 

 

For a Linux Scalability Server what is the recommended Download method to windows agents?

Is there a policy / timeout setting that limits the maximum number of connections using NOSLESS from Scalability Server?

Hi Wayne,

 

Does the customer use McAfee EndPoint Security in their environment?  We recently had another customer report the same intermittent behavior/error message and the solution was a patch for McAfee--

In this case the customer is using Symantec Endpoint Security.

The message displayed is incorrect. Basically, the Nosless file transfer has failed. You will need to request a test fix from IP 36426.
