  • 1.  ITCM 12.5 Web Console Issue after OS upgarded from 2008r2 to 2012r2

    Hello Crew,

     

     

    My ITCM  Web console not functioning after i have upgraded my OS from 2008R2 to 2012R2 

     

    Note : i knew that as per 12.5 Release notes it was not supported for win2k12r2 & IIS 8  but it has been working fine in My Test Lab environment

     

    besides i did check WACCONFIG.PROPERTIES

     

    and below things.

     

    1) i tried manually creating web services in IIS Manager under Default Websites,

     

    UDSM_R11WebConsole

    UDSM_R11WebServices

     

     

    2)Removing weconsole and webservices from itcm manager

    but i was unable to run ITCM setup to modify WEB SERVICES & WEBCONSOLE features from itcm for uninstalling them and re installing them,

     

    2) IIS roles as well i could not able to remove for re installing them.

     

     

    Please help me in this regards,

    Hi SK_Kavala,

    Are the following roles "ISAPI Extensions" and the "ISAPI Filters" installed, or correctly installed, in IIS?

    Hi Kavala,

     

            In Server 2012 IIS you need to check if ISAPI Extensions & ISAPI Filter checked under IIS server Role Application Development options.I had similar issue on windows 2012 R2 server resolved by slecting these 2 options under IIS Role.

    Hi

     

    I am sorry but you are likely to continue to have issues. 12.5 is simply not certified in 2012 your best bet is to upgrade to 12.8 or 12.9

    I agree with you despite it has been working in my NON-Production environment well, if it was not happend in my NON-Production environment  as well  then i left with it as you said

     

    but  there was something left for me that's why i am keep on trying for that.

    Hi

     

    I totally understand however it really does not benefit you to stay on this approach. CA Support will not be able to help you with any issues you experience running an unsupported configuration.

    Also if you fall too far behind the supported versions you may find that when you do finally decide to upgrade your environment it may require a multi stage upgrade.

    Hi

    I am afraid that as you mentioned, 12.5 is not certified on windows 2012

     

    you can see this on the compatibility matrix.

     

    The best advice to resolve this will be to upgrade to a version that does support windows 2012R2, This would be 12.8 or 12.9
