VmWare - Remote Virtual Inventory - WWN information do not appear.

Hi all.

 

I have been collected vCenter information inventory from RVI - Remote virtual inventory agent.

 

My question is about WWN information. I can not see or have that information on DSM Explorer like I see on vCenter.

 

Some times I have a wrong (stranger number) and some times I haven't that information.

Hello,

 

For HP machine aa-sap06 inventory of Fibre Channel Controllers looks wrong.

I suggest you to create a support issue in order to do some investigations and check if a fix exists.

 

You could execute these commands :

 

cftrace -c set -l DETAIL -s 30000 -f UAM -ln 5

/opt/CA/DSM/Agent/AM/plugin/amhwinvux -o /tmp/hwinv

 

and attach the files

/tmp/hwinv.inv

/opt/CA/DSM/logs/TRC_UAM_AMHWINVUX*.log

 

to the support issue.

 

 

For the VMWare ESX machine i am not sure if WWN is inventoried.

I suspect it is not part of VMWare ESX inventory.
