  • 1.  SETTING NEW DATABASE SERVER

    Posted Nov 25, 2015 09:50 AM

There was a change in our servers and the database server was migrated. This change did not anticipate the ITCM. We need to reconnect the ITCM to MDB database that now is as new hostname and a new instance of the MS SQL Server. The service ITCM is unavailable because of it.

SO MS WinSrv2008R2 64bits, MS SQL Server 2012 64bits, CA SDM 12.7, CA ITCM 12.5

    Thanks.

    HI

If you have not renamed the CA Domain manager hostname which is not supported you can follow these documents to assist you

    Technical document # TEC1581726

    http://www.ca.com/us/support/ca-support-online/product-content/knowledgebase-articles/tec1581726.aspx

    Greenbook

    https://support.ca.com/phpdocs/7/common/greenbooks/CA_ITCM_HowtoMovetheMDBforr12.5_ENU.pdf

I would use the technical document above as its a bit clearer than the greenbook.

Just so you are aware you should be moving to ITCM 12.9 as soon as possible as 12.5 is no longer supported.

Thanks in advance and let us know if we can assist you further

    Hope this helps

    Joe
