Install CCS feature on itcm 12.8

Hi Everyone,

 

I would like to install CCS featura on my itcm 12.8 environment.

 

My environment is:

** Domain Server (DM): Win2008/R2/VM, DM 12.8, sp1

** MDB remote Server: Remote MDB SQL Server 2008 R2 (ITCM MDB database is separated/different from sdm MDB);

** Scalability Servers (I have four SS):

- CAPRDASS , Win2008/R2/VM, SS 12.8 fp1; 

- CAPRDCAENT , Win2008/R2/VM, SS 12.8 fp1;

- SRVUT04 ifp1;

- ITA108 fp1;

 

Do you have any tips ou instructions like steps to do that?

Hi Nelson

 

You need to use the Install CCS option from the top level of the installer

you must run this first on the MDB server and then on your DM

If we have a cluster environment of SQL Server where MDB resides, does CCS must be installed on all nodes?

Yes (but only if you want to use the CCS discovery and worldview).

Steve, our doubt is about the correct install option.
Should we use "Install CCS" or "Install CCS with MDB" option from installation media when installing CCS in DB hosts? The MDB and ITCM already exist, it's not a new installation.

You take the option to just install CCS.
