  • 1.  Windows Agent in Cluster

    Posted Aug 05, 2019 06:47 AM
    Hi,
What is the best way to install a Windows Agent on a Cluster?
    • Have a agent with different name on each leg of the cluster and use an agent group to execute the jobs on the available Agent.
    • Have the Agent with the same name on both legs and have just one agent that is active ( how abour the transfer key file in that case? )
    • Any other way i didn't think of?
    Thanks,

Agent and SMgr Service installed on each Cluster Node. Cluster Software determines where the service is started or stopped.
Config (ini), Keytore and all Logs and Temp Files on a Shared Storage.

Does anyone run a UC4 agent as a clustered resource on an Microsoft Always-On SQL Server cluster and fail over to whatever node is active with the rest of the resources?
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/availability-groups/windows/overview-of-always-on-availability-groups-sql-server?view=sql-server-ver15

Broadcom does have guidelines here for regular clusters, i dont see guidelines for Microsoft Always-On SQL Server cluster's though.
