    Hello Everybody,

Does anyone here already using SAP Java Connector 3.1 and are they working properly?
We installed our SAP Agents 12.2 with SAP Jco 3.1.2 on RHEL server and we dont have any success as it is giving a missing Authorization on the Agent log.

20200813/144616.493 - U02004999 Max. Anzahl RFC Verbindungen: 'UNLIMITED'
    20200813/144616.808 - U02004172 Fehler beim Aufruf des Funktionsbausteins 'RFC_SYSTEM_INFO'.
    20200813/144616.808 - Keine RFC-Berechtigung für Funktionsbaustein RFC_METADATA_GET.
    20200813/144616.810 - U07001001 Verwendeter Zeichensatz: 'ISO-8859-15'

When we try to use SAP Jco 3.0.20 and 3.0.19 they are working properly.

So we are not sure if this is additional security from the Jco or anything else.

    Please share your experience.

    Hey Carlos,

we are still using 3.0.9 but I made a quick test with a SAP-Agent 11.2.7 and JCO 3.1.2 and it works successfully.
Your error message sounds more like a problem with missing permissions for your CPIC user within SAP.

    Have you checked the permissions?

    Schöne Grüße :)

    Hello Stephan,

Yes, we already tested this with same user and permission/privilege on both SAP Jco 3.1.2 , 3.0.20 and 3.0.19.
This permission issue did not occurs on Jco 3.0.20 and 3.0.19 so we are clarifying with the support if this is new security feature of SAP Jco 3.1.2.

I am lobbying with other users if they have the same issue with us.

May I know if your SAP user have this specific Authorization Object or you are using SAP_ALL/SAP_NEW profile?

    Thanks @Christian_Bassi_2802.
We are aware of this authorization objects requirements.
But in the end, we are not changing our user roles and authorization, only the Java connector version and we bump into this issue.

Are your SAP Agents working with the SAP Jco 3.1.2?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the feedback.
Its good to know that is working.

So I think this Jco 3.1.2 introduces new security feature.

    Hello ALL,

The issue of missing Authorization when using Java 3.1.2 is now resolved.
The solution is to add parameter in service manager jco.use_repository_roundtrip_optimization=0 when starting the SAP Agent.
