Jmx Agent

Does anybody run the JMX agent as a stand alone?  We have always ran it in a tomcat container.. but with 
all the vulnerabilities with tomcat... we are considering running the JMX Agent stand alone...
Anybody had any issues running the V12 JMX Agent in stand alone mode with openedition java?

Hi Ron,
please note that the standalone version of the JMX Agent is primarily designed to work with Oracle WebLogic JEE Servers. 
I have heard from customers who were able to make it with Tomcat and JBOSS.
The Standalone JMX Agent is not just a different flavor of the same JMX Agent.
The standalone version may not support your use case.

The documentation doesn't show that limitation..
Do you have a link to some documentation that talks about how you responded?
