are you referring to the usage of the Docker Action Pack (https://downloads.automic.com/marketplace/browse/docker-action-pack) ?
Actions that are assembled & delivered in Action Packs can be used in any workflow. In order to work properly Action Packs must be installed/updated by using the command line tool APM (Automic Package Manager) or the AWI plugin (Plugin Manager).
There are no technical limitation for CDA to use an already existing AA installation. Only CDA's Application & Component workflows that are executed by the Automation Engine must be triggered by CDA.
