  • 1.  Deleting users

I have three users that I am trying to delete. I have taken over the tasks that were associated with the user ID's. When I try to delete the ID's, I get a message back that says ID can not be deleted because of active tasks. When I do a search for use on the ID's nothing comes back showing usage. Would anyone have an idea of how to tell just what would be active under these user ID's other than the search for use function?

I don't think taking tasks over is sufficient. I suspect it is still associating that user to the active tasks as their originator.  You will probably have to stop/start those tasks so they have a new originator.

When our staff depart we disable the user and we don't delete them after their history has expired and fallen off of the database.  Otherwise their history will say the user is "unknown".  If you have a strong audit department, they will probably frown upon crippling your history in this fashion.
