  • 1.  updating the new Ra_FTP agent

    I am trying to update the newest version of the RA_FTP agent by doing the db_load of the jar file.  when I bring the agent up it stays active for about 8 to 12 minutes then fails with this message.

    20200312/192418.012 - U00034036 There is no valid license for Agent 'RA_FTP' (license class '1', license category 'Test System', platform 'EX.RA').
    20200312/192418.013 - U02000041 Shutdown Agent 'RA_FTP'.
    20200312/192418.017 - agentStopped: RA_FTP
    20200312/192418.017 - U02000001 Agent 'RA_FTP' version '12.2.0+build.970' ended normally.

    I dont just have a license for the EX.RA but I do have them for EX.RA.FTP.  

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Travis,
    please contact the Automic support and request a license file. Yours is not correct.
    Alternatively you can upgrade your Automic system to the latest v12.2.5 Service Pack because this version does not use a license file anymore.

    Did you update the RA Core (jar binary of the ftp agent) as well?

    if you are using one of the latest version of UC4 / AWA / One Automation please get in contact with Support to open a ticket.
    Otherwise update/upgrade your system and check if the problem still exists.

    Hi,
    Travis Boaz situation with the upgrading of FTP is same as mine. I have tried to load the RA.FTP. SOLUTION.NOWEB.4.0.8 downloaded from broadcom but got an error with licenses. My question is:
    - Have broadcom changed the new ra ftp version to use the ex.ra license instead of ex.ra.ftp?
    - Is there any work around just to get the new version running if we do not have a support anymore?
    - would our current ftp ver. work with a new set of ciphers if we download the jsch-0.1.55.zip and put it on uc4/agent/ftp/bin/lib?
    - do we really need to upgrade the core as well?
