Service Manager started via Root - Security risks?

Dear Community,

are there any known risks for starting the service manager with root privileges?

Is there a possibility to start the service manager with non-root privileges which will then start  a Unix Agents (with root privileges)?

Hello Michael,
we start our SM and agents always non-privileged! Starting the Unix Agent with root privileges should be working as described in number 2 of the Overview in AE-Documentation -> Installing the Agent for UNIX

It's not tested by me!
