If you locate the job in the "process assembly" perspective in its folder, then right click on it and select "Monitoring", then "Executions", it should take you to the statistics.
On the upper right side of your screen, you can click on the "Details" button and you should get a view like Kyle shared above and it might give you a little more information by hovering over the message in "Status" or "Last message".
In regard to the error code you're getting, I'm not sure but here are a few things you can try:
Firstly try going to the Windows server where the job lives that you're trying to run, right click on it and go to Properties, then the security tab to ensure the user identified in your login object has full control.
Second, did you set the local security policies when the agent was installed? It isn't always necessary, but some times it helps.
See number 3 here:

Finally, try playing around with the job itself on the - is it a batch job or a command?

When I try to run the job it never shows up on the Process Monitoring screen. So I can't seem to get those details. I tried to following though and got some additional information.
In the job I changed the Deactivate on Finish to "Never" and the error is "U02001000 Job 'JOBS.WIN.NEW.1' could not be started. Error code '1314', error description: 'A required privilege is not held by the client.'." The client should hold Administrative rights so we will need to investigate that. Since we have to run the exe this should just be the context of the user logged in correct?
On a side note I apologize if this seems silly but in Version 10 the agents ran as a windows service at startup. Is that not possible in version 12? I have gone through the documentation but it seems like it would be a pain to have to manually start that every time.

Thought I'd replied to this but anyways....
If you double-click on a job, it will bring you to the Process Monitor. Since the job is not active, you will get the error that you attached (behavior that I am not the biggest fan of - it throws off a lot of our clients).
However, if you click on the Details (not Export Table as shown below - my bad) button, you should get the cause of the issue.

If you look at the executions on the job, are you getting anything from the details?

I am knew to Automation 12. We are currently on version 10 and have been for some time. We recently setup a test environment of version 12 and I was able to get everything to install and connect but when I try to create a basic job and execute I am getting a message of Start Impossible and the below error details Did I miss a step somewhere? The agent is listed and has a check mark for Authenticated and I setup a login for the agent.
