Links/URLs in object documentation tab

I have seen a presentation a while back on including URLs or links to external locations in object documentation tabs.   I am on AE 11.2 and my standard tabs in Documentation are Version and Docu --- no custom ones (yet?).   I thought I could just paste in a url to our sharepoint documentation, but that is not a 'live' link.   How do I make these links 'live'?

You can customize the behavior of your documentation tabs by modifying the UC_OBJECT_DOCU variable under client 0000.  Changes happen instantly.   You can add/drop tabs at will, but it never destroys legacy tabs.  Any tab specification that is prefixed with the "

character will automatically support hyperlinks as you described.

I would look into Structured Documentation. With that you can paste links and use XML

In V12, there is a known bug that the hyperlinks are not recognized in the AWI (https://automic.force.com/support/apex/CommunityArticleDetail?id=kA3b0000000fzH3CAI). But it works with the Java UI...
