Adjusting Refresh Intervals to Lower than 90 Seconds as a User Defined Value

  • 1.  Adjusting Refresh Intervals to Lower than 90 Seconds as a User Defined Value

Since version 12.1 of Automation Engine, you can set Refresh Intervals to a user-defined value just by clicking on the upper right corner of the application in the Automic Web Interface (AWI) and selecting Settings.

Once the Settings dialog is displayed, open the Process Monitoring Pane and select the User Defined option.

BEWARE:  The default value does not let you go under 90 seconds. If you input anything from 1 to 89, the value is ignored and will be reset to 90.cih2h6lmaql4.jpg

Any number from 10 to 999 can be entered as an Interval Refresh value. However, by default, the value cannot be set lower than 90 seconds. If anything from 1 to 89 is entered, the value is ignored and is reset to 90.

This is by design.  In order to set the User Defined value lower than 90 seconds (it only allows you to go as low as 10 seconds), the "Min. Activity Refresh" option must be modified in the User Properties first.

With the steps provided below, you will be able to change "Min. Activity Refresh”:
    1. Go to Administration tab
    2. Under User Management, click on Users and select the user you want to set the user-defined
      Refresh Interval
    3. Under Session, input "Min. Activity Refresh" toa desired value (can go as low as 10 seconds; if you put less than 10, it'll set it to 10 in user-defined option in Settings dialog after you reset it there)
    4. Set Refresh Intervals to a user-defined value by clicking on the upper right corner of the application and selecting Settings --> User Defined value --> enter the value.                                   7vaz63huvy4g.jpghttps://us.v-cdn.net/5019921/uploads/editor/58/7vaz63huvy4g.jpg" width="380">
    5. Log out and log in again, Refresh Interval will be set up to the value you entered in the previous session.
