    Question: Is there a place where all System U-codes are documented

    Answer:

    Each version has its own corresponding list that is included within the file "uc.msl"
    located in each engine/agent/utility/tools/service_manager etc. directory in the installation archive.
    for example Automation.Platform\AutomationEngine\windows\x64\uc.msl

    Each file is in 3 languages (
     German, English and French)

    only the prefix U is missing in the beginning of each row, other than that the numbers correspond.

    A list of the U-Messages can also be found in HTML form in the offline Documentation under: ../Documentation/Messages/webhelp/english/Messages.htm

    Resurrecting this old thread!

    So it look like all Ucodes are categorized with a colored symbol, i, !, or X in the documentation-
    https://docs.automic.com/documentation/webhelp/english/ALL/components/AE/12.3/Messages/Messages.htm#32xx.htm

    Presumably for these are informational, warning, and a fatal error?

    I would like to setup monitoring potentially for ALL fatal errors(so X).
    If i dont do this i need to add monitoring for a specific U code every time i hit an important error manually. And some errors will go unnoticed forever.

    So how can i get a list of all X/error alerts?
    Anyone else see this as an issue?

    The us.msl file does not appear to flag if the message is informational or error etc.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Hello Tony,
    the uc.msl does have the Type of Message in the column 10 (in Notepad++), see below:

    There are only three type of Error messages: E is Error (which can be considered as Fatal), W is Warning and I is Info.
    C are Caption  messages that were used in old Java UI menus / titles so you don't need to look at these.

    Hope that helps,
    Adrian

    Hi Tony,

    That's the letter before:
    E --> English
    D --> German
    F --> French

    Cheers,
    Alexander
