  • 1.  Unable to Connect UIM Application After Patching and Reboot

    Posted May 20, 2020 02:23 PM

I am not able to connect to UIM Application after server patching and reboot.

    UIM Version: 8.51 SP1
OS Version: RHEL Linux Enterprise 6.10

I have manually restart the service multiple times but only controller is showing and I am not able to connect to application using any of the interface

All the ports are open still getting this error on controller probe "send_internal_alarm: sockConnect failed "

Please advise any possible reason to look into.

Check and make sure the path is correct and some one has not installed another robot onto the same machine.

set the controller loglevel to 3 and logsize to 5000 as well as the hub loglevel to 3 and logsize to 35000
check the controller.cfg make sure the hub, hdb, controller and spooler are listed in it.

The application is up after restoring Controller.cfg file. but we have another issue where in alarms data is not visible under alarm console, USM alarms

NAS_Transaction_Summary Tables and  NAS_Transaction_Logs tables is also empty.

There is an error message on console "Infrastructure Manager does not Support the Database Provider. NIS Feature will be disable".
But same configuration is running in other environment.

    Please advice.

to enable the sync of alarms from IM to UMP go to IM > primary hub > nas > configure > nis bridge > check the box 'Activate NiS bridge'.

For the new item check out:
Infrastructure Manager does not support the database provider. NIS features will be disabled.

sometimes patching enables iptables or firewalld. check firewall 'ps -ef |grep fire' and iptables  'iptables -L -v' 'service iptables stop'
