    Hi,
I was just gonna post a question regarding this as well, but for the ppc64le architecture. Since IBM's purchase of Red hat we have customers wanting to run RHEL 8 on the Power plattform. And it would be great to be able to install the robot software.

    /Kenneth

A robot to run on that will require a new certification from the dev team.
Make sure to open an ER request on the idea wall for that.

    Hi Gene

    thanks it worked

just one query though does support not not know that rsp can support the new and old OS because i opened a case for the same and was told that there is a generic support for all the probe so if the os is not supported by robot then it will not be supported by any probe

    regards

So the RSP probe is a little different the most probes.
It is NOT supported on anything other than what is tested on.
It has the ability to make SOME changes like this one but is not fully supported until it is tested and certified by DEV and QA.
So officially it is not supported on systems that do not have robot support.

Is there a chance that it will work with older OS's and new OS's, Sure, but if for some reason on a none supported system dev will not get involved until that OS has been certified.

    are you testing as root?
that is always the first way to test.
the next is to SSH into the systems and run the command manually.

    Gene
I will paste log level 5 output

i have pasted output in the doc with both sudo and non sudo access, while using sudo access no error is coming in the logs

Maybe i will increase the command execution time and then paste the output

Do you mean i login using the same access into the server and try runnig the commands occuring in the logs?

    regards
    Nijin

Just you to know that Robot 9.30 already support RedHat 8.x

You need to have UIM 9.20 or 20.1(recommended) to install the Robot into the Redhat 8.x

This version will be automatically available in your ARCHIVE when you have this UIM versions.
