  • 1.  Cabi version 20.3 & performance reports

    Hi,
In version 20.3 the is more possible to use the performance reports from UMP because depreciate, then we need to do it in the cabi.
In the cabi you have choice to make directly report on multiples metrics or on a single QOS,
in the performance report it was possible to have multiple QOS in same graph How can we do that today?
Why multiple QOS, because the data are coming from a custom shell script.
Is her a Multiple QOS possible without using the jaspersoft studio ?

Don't know. This was pointed out to development who acknowledged it. However have not heard anything definitive on it.

    Joel,

Check out the OOB Trend or TopN Reports.  You will find them in /Reports/Health/Group

Note you will need to put the device into a group so you can select the metrics and devices you want.

This has been in the product for years and what most people use.

    Hi,
Yes this is a solutions work for multiple metrics "/Reports/Health/Group", but not on QOS data, but the initial question was on multiple QOS.
The idea is to have like in UMP the possibility to have graphs with multiple lines from QOS and not metrics..
Why not using metrics? because the QOS are coming from Shell scripts and doesn't appear as a metrics. I think that only Broadcom probe are directly accessible true metrics. It this correct ?

    Hi Joel,

We here at Broadcom use the terms QoS and metrics as one in the same as long as they are numeric in value.  UIM can only gather numeric metrics as QoS data.  So I don't understand your use case.  We have many customers using scripts to gather numeric data and inserting it as QoS data.  It is the core part of the logmon probe that has been used for years.

Now there could be an issue with the Group Trend and TopN report code where it might not be picking up the custom QOS_XXX that you are inserting into.  You must ensure the device/robot is in the group you are choosing to use these reports.  I have seen many times an end point have duplicate inventory entries and people can't find the metrics they are looking for when reporting using the Group Reports.

Also those Group Trend/TopN will work for 1 metric as well.
