To me, that seems very generic but should work.
I am not sure why you are doing anything with QOS.
This is text information and can not be stored as QOS.
Once you have created the variable add the variable to your alarm message.

by default, logmon reads one line at a time.
You could set up a format block the started on UTC [ERROR] and ended after 3 lines and then set a message variable up in the watcher rule to send the text block.

displaying multiple lines of the error from the logfile?
