No there is currently no function you can do OOTB to have a robot come ump in maintenance mode.
If they are using an answer file to set up the robot.cfg
you could add the following:
maint_from = 0
maint_until = <EPOCKTIME>
this is the old controller-based maintenance.
This is really no longer used but is still active in each controller.
This can not be seen from the USM maintenance screen at all.

We have the following situation: A Server support team installs the Operating System and all basic softwares including the UIM Robot, then they inform the area who requested the server to access it and configure as needed. So at the end of the first install phase the server is not in production but, reports to CA UIM generating alarms in production enviroment.
Does anyone knows if is possible install the robot in maintenance mode? I didn't found addictional options to acomplish this task.
