Automatic shutdown

Hello
IHAC that need to shutdown automatically some windows or linux server after an alarm signal.
These servers are monitored by UIM.
I've found the reboot probe that could be used. I'm also consider to use remote command.
The infrastructure is composed by virtual server and related esx server using VmWare virtualization.

Did someone have any experience ?
Any other suggestion will be appreciated.

Perhaps this is something that can be accomplished via a nas lua script to run the shutdown command over the network when the alarm comes in.

nexec is the best to use as you can put whatever commands you want in it and use a lua script to fire off to use whatever profile you want to call.
