UIM v20.0 installation

  • 1.  UIM v20.0 installation

    Hello team Broadcom

    I just installed v20.1 of UIM software.
    The executables setup and ump did not throw any problem. When installing the NimBUS Manager.exe it throws this error:



    The database I use is Mysql

    Can you tell me what has to be done before putting it into production?

    Hi, I had the same problem/message in my 9.20 lab installation. I followed the instructions in the KB article provided, but still have the same messages in IM.

    Is the data_engine connected to the database and inserting data?

    Hello Franklin.

    Thanks for your help it is very useful.

    When performing the steps, it only throws this notification.



    There is a problem in the future, my production is 400 devices with more than 10,000 metrics

    In regards to that new message:

    Infrastructure Manager does not support the database provider. NIS features will be disabled.

    I am seeing some odd behavior from it though. I used raw config to up the log level and log size and then it seems that the DB password was wiped out. I am on DE 9.20HF2

    Don't know that it is possible to track down the root cause of something like that, but in my limited experience with cfg files being changed like that or corrupted there was and outside influencing factor. 
    On a side note  data_engine-9.20HF4 is out there.
