    Hi,

with UMP until 9.x we had a good integration of NFA in UIM/DX IM. You can direct jump from a router device to the NFA view.
Is this available in OC 20.3(.1)? And if not, what ist the replacement for this?

    Regards,

    Hi Olaf,

Yes, the monitoring data is still available via the Operator Console but the NFA portlet has been deprecated in 20.3x.

Please refer to this KB Article:

UIM(DXIM) NFA Integration- is this available in the Operator Console in 20.3x?

    Best Regards,

    hi, i have a question too -

its says to publish snmp collector....
in our environment we monitor network with spectrum.
when i will publish the nfa_inventory to uim, the data from spectrum will published automatically?
i dont to see duplicate devices or something weird like that

With the new requirement for the NetOps Portal for NFA, you can only use that going forward.  The UIM integration is no longer viable since you can only publish to UIM or NetOps Portal.

NFA Console has a bunch of Flash in it and all that UI controls have been move to the NetOps Portal and the ODATA API that sits on it.

    Hi Jay.

Thank you for your explanatory post. Yes, we also realized that the NFA Console 10.0.2 use Flash.

Is the NFA Console 20.2.5 Flash-less so we can plan to use it?
Do we need the NetOps Portal to get the same information (FlowCharts etc.) as with NFA 10.0.2 or it it all included in NFA Console 20.2.5?
Is NetOps-Portal also available for Window Server?

    Thanks,
    Olaf Pape

    Hi Olaf,

I believe most of the NFA pages that show the charts are not in Flash, it is certain sections of the Administration Pages that are.  They are moved to NetOps Portal or the Rest API.

Since you have to Admin NFA from the NetOps Portal for certain features, you can only have the NFA Console connected to UIM or NetOps Portal.  So all NFA users need to move to the NetOps portal.
