Tomcat JMX monitoring with UIM

Hello to all!
Some of you have worked monitoring tomcat jmx with UIM and have had or receive some security alert with jmx open ports?
A customer Tomcat provider alert them about the danger of having those ports open in the DMZ.
any comment about it?

Sorry don't understand. 
Are you asking about how tomcat is configured for open ports, or how to use UIM to monitor tomcat for open ports???

So if the problem is they don't want any open ports between UIM and tomcat the way to accomplish monitoring is to setup secondary hub UIM side and a hub in the client's network with a tunnel making the connection. Then a robot with the tomcat probe under the client's hub. That way all communication between the client's network and UIM is secure.
