    Hi all,

sql server probe and  qos is not showing when I am trying to run the below query in SLM. Why is this? I am able to see sqlserver probe running fine in the robot where I have deployed in UIM.

select * from s_qos_data where source like '%hostname%'  ---> hostname i am mentioning generally but in specific I am mentioning there while running.

    Regards
    Amar

Try this to get data from sqlserver. Then compare source. sometime sqlserver may be configure to give different source then robot. You can also check qos_sqlserver in SLM and Performance Reports QoS tab.

select * from s_qos_data where qos like 'qos_sqlserver%'

    Hi all,

I have checked the below query as well but we are unable to see the qos for the required robot in database. We have enabled some of the chekpoints/qos in sqlserver probe but its not reflecting in database. Need some quick help.

select * from s_qos_data where qos like 'qos_sqlserver%'

    Regards

the next step would be to open up DR nimbus and point it to the local hub for the robot where the probe is and set the probe to sqlserver and the robot.
Then deactivate and activate the sqlserver probe.
You should see qos_definitions and then qos coming.
If you do not then you have a problem with the robot /spooler or the probe. May try reinstalling or upgrading versions.

If you do see the qos info then move to the next hub in the chain on the way to the primary and repeat.
You will need to find where the messages stop.
If you get to the primary hub and see the messages coming in then check the data_engine loglevel 3 or higher logs for dropped messages.

    Hi Gene ,

I have checked above mentioned steps that are provided by you use message sniffer and I did not see any qos for sqlserver for the robot. Am I using correct one Gene !!! I have used message sniffer - please correrct me if I am wrong.

Inference : If you do not then you have a problem with the robot /spooler or the probe. May try reinstalling or upgrading versions - I have got all my robot up to date as well. spooler no queue . Should I re-install UIM agent ? or what is the solution?

    Regards
    Amar

so yes the message sniffer in Dr Nimbus is correct.

What version of the sqlserver probe are you using?
What version of the controller are you using?
What is the hub version the problem robot reports to?

But my suggestion was to reinstall the Nimsoft robot and sqlserver probe for the problem robot.
Did you make sure to deactivate and activate the probe when testing?
Did you make sure the hub was pointed to the correct hub for the robot?
Did you check the local problem robot controller and spooler logs for errors?

I am about out of ideas..
You would need to set the controller, spooler and sqlserver loglevel to 5 and logsize to 75000
Restart the robot and then check the sqlserver logs first to see if it is sending the qos messages.
then check the spooler logs to see if it is sending them.

Do you get cdm QoS(or any other probe) from the same robot you are running sqlserver probe on?

Could not tell if you saw any QoS in Dr Nimbus.

Amar, it is not clear to me did you setup drnimbus and filter it to probe: sqlserver as in Gene's image?
If you deactivate / activate the sqlserver probe it should start out by generating qos_definition messages, and then qos_message, and alarm.
Did any messages at all show up for it?
Also filter to just the robot name so find the answer to Gregg's question.
