It looks like the connectivity via the "archive" web page is working but not via IM. It is currently broken for me.

I suspect because  I Just got the congratulatory email from Broadcom about how smooth and wonderful the transition to Broadcom resources has been for customers that they broke something again in finishing that up.

Just to confirm in my labs downloads from archive.nimsoft.com do work. 
I opened a ticket on the problem with access from the outside.

Does  KB138236 : support.nimsoft.com login errors help?  The support.nimsoft.com server was recently relocated to a new server.

No, restarting IM doesn't fix the issue.

I can access the archive at http://support.nimsoft.com/Default.aspx?center=felles/archive via a web browser with no issue.

Using IM, I am unable to enable "Internet Mode" where the archive in IM is a mix of probes available from the CA/Broadcom histed archie site and the local archive.

 This is maybe the fifth time this has been broken over the past six months but usually the web page is also broken. This time is a little unique in that the web pages still seem to work.

same to me. Archive connection in IM does not work.

It look like that the necessary Webservice is not up an running on the new server.
The HTTP-POST on http://archive.nimsoft.com/service.asmc?WSDL timed out.

Maybe throw a probe on that box to monitor that service.    :-)
