MS SQL Job status monitoring

My organization was using ca UIM. Hope this is the community for that too.

I want to setup monitoring for MS SQL job status monitoring.

Is that possible with UIM.

Please help.

Hi Gene.

I checked the probe article.

I didn't find any metric which could monitor the sql agent jobs/ other jobs  which are running long than their scheduled time.

Can you please help.

The question has changed from job monitoring to just those taking too long, and for that you are correct the probe doesn't have a metric for that. It might be possible to setup a custom checkpoint to fulfill the need.

There is no checkpoint to check LONGER than scheduled time..
As David said this would have to be a custom query.
You can use the checkpoint for long-running jobs and see the threshold to a custom time.
but you can not have it use configured scheduled time set up in the job.
