  • 1.  Maintenance window don't show and unable to add devices in OC

Just upgraded to latest and greatest and after upgrade we can no longer view the maintenance windows unless we go all the way down to a device we know has a window and go into the info pop up.   Doesn't look like we can add devices to any windows either and not sure on creating window.  I was able to create a window using callbacks but not OC.

Yeah maintenance window interface is far from intuitive in OC. This seems to work for me:
    1. Go to the Groups section
    2. Find the group that contains the host(s) you want to silence
    3. Click the maintenance icon in the top right
    4. Create your schedule (if not already created)
    5. Find your schedule, click the 3 dots on the right and select Update Devices
    6. A slider should come in from the right with the hosts from the group you selected earlier. Tick the ones you want to silence and click Update Devices
There is a newer version of the maintenance_window probe on the FTP - might be worth installing it

That is not the main issue main issue is no maintenance windows even show in OC  unless you go to device level and click info.

Clicking maintenance button on main oc page does nothing even though there are maintenance windows in the system.

The issue we are having (I work with Neal) is that we can't do step #5 because the schedules aren't listed. Even if we create a new maintenance schedule in OC, it is saved in the database but not displayed when looking at any groups in the OC.

We do have the latest maintenace_mode probe, and we had the latest OC components--until yesterday. We'll be getting the latest hotfixes to see if they happen to help.

by any chance was a schedule ever created via a REST call?
    from 20.3.2 documentation:
Resolved an issue where when users were adding the maintenance schedule through the Swagger UI, the schedules added through the OC UI were disappearing. Additionally, even the Swagger-created schedule was not becoming visible in the UI.
However, if the Swagger-created schedule was deleted from the database, the schedules created through the UI were appearing again.

Yes, that's definitely the case. I think most--or at least a lot--of our maintenance schedules get pushed in from our ITSM via the API.

We already have OC 20.3.2 installed. Was that supposed to be installed in the 20.3.2 base install or one of the hotfixes? We installed the hotfixes, but there are a couple more this week that we have yet to deploy.

    Thanks!

    Great question.
Fixed in the initial 20.3.2 update however the support team found some problems still existed so it was further fixed and included in ump_operatorconsole_2.08_HF3.zip.
Best to keep an eye on that hotfix site since development is being very aggressive about getting updates out.
