    Hello!

I have the same problem, already installed the last patch 20.3.2, but the delete button for the alarm policies does not seems to work. We click on it, the page refreshes but the policy is not removed.

    Regards,

    Danilo Melo

tested in my 20.3.2 lab and it did still show up, but then after working on something else and checking it again after a few minutes the deleted policy was gone.

I'm also working with version 20.3.2 and have been waiting for more than a week for this moment for policies to be deleted and it did not happen.

perhaps the operatorconsole.log or policy_management.log will contain some insight.

    Hi Stefan!

Turns out the problem was related to the queue policy_management on the primary hub, which was Yellow and unresponsive for my environment. After solving the problem with this queue the policies were actually deleted as expected.

    Hi Danilo,

We are facing the same issue with policy_management queue on Primary hub being yellow and unresponsive. Can you please share how did you fix this issue with queue on Primary hub?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Ashok

    Hi Ashok!

I remember checking the policy_management log on the wasp probe folder for the Operator Console robot, the log indicated error communicating with the Primary Hub admin console. Turns out I had deleted the port 80 for the primary Hub wasp (for security reasons), after enabling the port 80 for the primary hub wasp the policy management started working again.

I still have to investigate why this happens, because it is not good to keep the port 80 running while we have the 443 ssl configured.

    Hope this helps you out.

    Regards,
    Danilo Melo

Thank you Danilo. This has helped me fix the issue. But, like you, I also wonder why am I forced to go non-secure way, from https to http!

    Best Regards,
    Ashok

    1 more question:
does clicking on the Delete button (in the lower left corner in the given Alarm policy) delete or only disable the existing alarm policy? as based on the documentation description in "How do I disable (or enable) an existing alarm policy?" it seems to be the same feature for both features, so im confused now.
so how to delete and how to only disable the policy?

in my case, if i click on the delete button, it shows disabled status for it, but i want to completely delete it from OC as well.
so how does it work, please?

    thank you,
    stefan

The slider could be clearer. The slider is just for enable disable, right = enabled, left = disabled.
In my lab with a policy either enabled or disabled, the delete works.

Well in my lab, it's done via clicking 'delete'.

and where is this delete button please?
i can only see 1 delete-enabled slider button in the left lower corner, exactly like it's on this image in the docs. and if i understood you correctly, it's for disabling-enabling.

The slider is for enabled disable, not enable delete.
    clicking delete, deletes the profile.

omg, it's one of the worst UX design i've seen. the delete button doesnt have any border, so it doesnt look like a button, but as a plain text. it has the same font and color as the enabled on the other side of the slider. and with the slider in the middle and the 2 text (delete and enabled) on its both sides, it seems that the delete and the enabled are the 2 values of the slider.
if you know the designers of UIM, please let them know this reference.

and thank you very much David for your help in this topic!

Thanks for highlighting the UX challenge. Feedback has been passed to UX designer for Operator Console..
