IM can no longer reach archive.nimsoft.com

    IM can't reach archive.nimsoft.com and when I try with a browser I get the below:

    does your login direct to support.nimsoft.com work?

    It works fine. But IM is trying archive.nimsoft.com not support.

    Yes, that's the site the application uses, for download, credentials are the same for both. 
    Strange thing here is that it is reaching the site but the auth is failing.. 

    Few things to try:
    reset the password
    try it from the AC archive
    try it from your dev environment 

    these are on the typical can't reach the site type problem, yet still may help.

    I just tried accessing the archive from IM and it worked for me - really really really slow but it worked - maybe you're just timing out?

    I'm getting access denied.  I tried it from my iphone and get the same error as above.

    On my dev box, I can't download via IM, I get a forbidden message but I can use my browser and go to support.nimsoft.com and download pacakges from the archive on the dev box.

    That's different, it downloaded the package but can't save it to the temp. 
    not sure exactly what's causing it
    permissions to that folder
    virus scanner
    try renaming the folder and create a new one
    close the IM console and reopen

    OH, also, the take away is that, if in fact the same user name and password is at both your prod and dev environments there is some going on specific to the prob hub where you are running that instance of IM. Which in turn directs back to the other things to try, and the suggestions in the KBs.

    I had to uninstall IM and the SOAP took kit and reinstall and it began working again.  Not sure why it would stop working then restart with a reinstall.

    The SOAP tool kit uses MSXML4.dll which is a shared library. It could be that this was removed from the
      system possibly by another application.
