    Hi All,

I need to send traps from CA ADA to Spectrum. I managed to send the alerts but spectrum wont identify it because of the OID. Is there a specific MIB i can use so that Spectrum can intepret the traps. Please give me a hand on this issue.

    Thanks a Lot

Not sure what integration you are trying to do.  You may try posting a new thread in the UCMonitor community.

    Hey Gaurav,

well, put a CAPC between the Spectrum and UCM and feed the needed data into CAPC...

Maybe tell us a scenario which kind of data from spectrum you want to bring together with which kind of data from UCM...

The doc has following files ( awtrap.zip, ADAAlertswithServersinSpectrum.zip and ADAAlertswithoutServersinSpectrum.zip)  attached to it but unable to download it. Can you tell me where we can i download the files? Or is on the support site?

Not sure what doc you're referring to, since I haven't seen either of those three zip files. However, given the names, this still has to do with ADA not UCMonitor.

The only integration that exists is that both ADA and Spectrum can be data sources in CAPC and ADA can send traps to spectrum. The same applies to UCMonitor.

    Hi Jeffrey

You can get these files from support by opening ticket with them. I also got these files from ca support. If you want, you can reference my issue number:

CA Support Request 21755748 01 - CA ADA AND SPECTRUM INTEGRATION

    Thanks

Just found this thread. I am seeing if support can still unearth those zip files.

If you still have them... maybe you can post them here so i can grab them??

I created the files needed for this integration.  See attached ADA_Files.zip.

    To implement:

    - For the AlertMap file, add the contents of this file to the existing $SPECROOT/custom/Events/AlertMap file on your SpectroSERVER systems.

    - For the EventDisp file, add the contents of this file to the existing $SPECROOT/custom/Events/EventDisp file on your SpectroSERVER systems.

    - For the Event*_en_US files, add all of these files to the $SPECROOT/custom/Events/CsEvFormat directory on all SpectroSERVER, OneClick and Spectrum Report Manager (SRM) systems.

    - For the Prob*_en_US files, add all of these files to the $SPECROOT/custom/Events/CsPCause directory on all SpectroSERVER, OneClick and Spectrum Report Manager (SRM) systems.

    - For the gen_app_gw_EventDisp file, add the contents of this file to the $SPECROOT/SS/CsVendor/gen_app_gw/EventAdmin/EventDisp file

    - Update the Event Configuration on the SpectroSERVER(s) by doing the following:

    1. Log into OneClick as an ADMIN user

    2. Find the VNM model

    3. Click on the Information tab

    4. Find and expand the SpectroSERVER Control subview

    5. Click on the Update Event Configuration button

    - Update the Event Configuration of OneClick by doing the following:

    1. Log into the OneClick web pages as an ADMIN user

    2. Click on the Administration link

    3. Click on the Update Event and Alarm Files link

    4. Click on the Reload button

I was unable to find a copy of awtrap.zip so I used TrapGen to test.

Other trap generator tools are SnmpTrapGen and the sendtrap program that comes with the System Edge agent if you happen to have one installed.
