  • 1.  NTSERVICES - any way to restart the server instead of the service?

    Clients are having issues with service going down and not getting resolved with a simple service restart.  Is there a way to restart the entire server instead of the individual service?  They plan to figure this out and adjust the code, but in the interim they would like to have some help detecting the service down and restarting the service on restart.

    You can check to use the  "nexec" probe in conjuction with ntservices alarm which allows
     to create some type of command-line utility or application which could reboot the server
