ORACLE probe not opening in Admin Console

  • 1.  ORACLE probe not opening in Admin Console

    Hi All,

     

    I am trying to open Oracle probe from Admin console as we have to configure RAC settings for the probe.

    I am getting error code PPM-027.

    UIM version :8.51

    oracle probe:

    Pre-req are in place , is their any particular pre-re required due to which we are getting this issue?

     

    need a fix urgently.

    Hi Aditi,

     

    The pre-requisites for the Oracle Probe are below, would suggest you to verify they are in place:

    If the above has been taken care and the issue still exists, check what happens if you try to launch the Oracle probe GUI from the IM (Infrastructure Manager), do you see error as below?

     

    oracle probe connection errors: Create OCI environment failed with rc = -1 or OCIEnvCreate failed with rc = -1

     

    If yes, check the below links:

    If no, you could may be try the below:

     

    1. Deactivate the ppm probe
    2. Delete the ppm probe
    3. Deploy latest ppm probe release

     

    If the issue still exists, might be worth trying oracle-5.30T1.zip from the below link:

    Hi Sirha,

    Thanks for reply.

    I deleted ppm probe and deployed latest , now error in ppm probe is there and while opening oracle gui folllowing error is their

    error log ppm

    In some occasion, delete operation of probe is not enough. Please follow.

    1. Delete "ppm" probe.
    2. Delete "folder" of ppm probe. (<UIM>/probes/services/ppm)
    3. Deploy "ppm" probe.

    Hi Sriha& Yu,

     

    I followed deleting steps for PPM and also did for prediction engine and baseline engine.

    Still same error is coming .

    I am able to open other probes like cdm controller of that robot but not able to open oracle probe.

    Kindly suggest asap: PPM log when tried to open oracle probe.

    Also, could you please confirm, you are using ppm probe release 3.49?

    From the screenshot, looks like there is issue accessing the port 48014 on the oracle probe host.

     

    Could you please confirm you are able to telnet 48014 port on the oracle probe host.

    Hi Yu,

    yes m using ppm 3.4.9.

    Do i  need to check telnet from ppm containing server to oracle probe server on  port 48014.

    I will check .

    ppm version is 3.45 sorry for wrong update.

    Will upgrade the ppm

    3. Deploy "ppm release 3.49" probe.
    4. Clear the browser cache

    Thanks a lot Sirha, upgraded the version 3.49 and followed  above steps.

    Oracle probe is taking some time to load , sometimes showing oracle probe is busy error, but finally GUI got open.
