  • 1.  CRC error event are getting monitored

    Can you please confirm if the CRC error event are getting monitored in the UIM- tool for devices. If not then what are the ways to detect & monitored the CRC error while it sharp increases. If there is a way then please suggest the steps.

    Hello.

    If you talking about metric "Number of CRC errors in an interface" in a SNMP device, it is possible to collect this.

    It is possible to do in 3 probes (snmpget, snmptoolkit, and snmpcollector)

    In some vendor, a single OID is available for CRC error. Therefore let me introduce "snmpget" probe.

    Nimsoft Probes: snmpget v1.6 

    snmpget (SNMP Get) - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Documentation 

     

    Note

    snmpget is so simple but less feature. If you poll a single OID only, then you would be ok.

    Depends on your requirement, you would need to eye other solutions such as snmptoolkit or snmpcollector.
