  • 1.  It is possible to change the CA UIM database type for an already working system?

    Hello community.

It is possible to change the CA UIM database type for an already working system? For example from MySQL to Oracle or vice-versa (like installing new blanc database, migrate existing data and change in data_engine to use the new database). CAUIM version is 8.31.

    Thank you and regards,

    Alina

    Hello Alina_Dragan,

There is no supported procedure to migrate DB from Oracle to SQL or MySQL - Vice Versa DB's.

Maybe you can try with CA Services Team + DBA Administrator to try this steps.

    Hello Alina_Dragan,

This is the supported process for migrating between MS SQL

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-unified-infrastructure-management/8-5-1/en/administering-ca-uim/move-the-uim-database-ms-sql-server

You need third party expertise when migrate between different db vendors. When finished you can modify data_engine configuration and restart primary hub sevice as the case for MS SQL .

    Hope this helps
