Logmon probe lib update

We are planning to update the glibc library used in logmon probe from version 2.3 currently to 2.7 or later (since current version is dated).

With this change, users would have to update glibc version to 2.7 + in the logmon probe for there existing deployments.

For fresh deployments, it will be bundled with probe package, so no worries there.

 

With the release, documentation shall also be updated to provide guidance.

It is very often the case that the the group responsible for monitoring a server is not the group responsible for the level of software installed on the server. As such, any change to an aspect of a monitoring probe deployment that creates a requirement on the host system to be changed is fundamentally bad.

 

UIM installs should be transparent to a system and the users of the system. As soon as you introduce dependencies you lessen the value of the product.
