  • 1.  F5 CPU and Memory in PM 2.8

    We have loaded our F5 devices in PM2.8 , the problem that we are coming across is that when we run a Network Device Health report all the F5 are showing High memory utilization.

     

     

     

    The graph below is from one of the F5's it looks like the Total Phys memory (black line)is used by the OS memory (green line).

     

     

    My assumption is that this is how the F5 works, which would then negate the PM Top Memory graph and would be seen as a false positive. The question is how do we exclude only the F5's from the Top memory Utilization graph as we can not filter the default graph.

    Create a group that doesn't have the components of the F5 in it. See the dashboard in that context and all your memory components for the F5 will not be shown.

    Our grouping Structure is based on IP Ranges per country. If we remove the F5's from the Group Structure it would effectively mean that the "Network Health" Dashboard then excludes F5, will we then have to start excluding other Technologies/Vendors from the "Network Health" Dashboard?
