Anyone using baseline and dynamic threshold?

  • 1.  Anyone using baseline and dynamic threshold?

To reduse false alarms and have a better control of dynamic monitoring I am locking into transfering from statick to dynamic.

Probe threshold_migrator is the thing according to doc.

Anyone that have done this, and have some experience?

    Hi

Yes threshold_migrator may migrate some of the probes to use standard alarm thresholds configured in AC

threshold_migrator Supported Probe Considerations - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Docume…

To reduce possible false alarms or number of alarms, you can consider to enable Time Over Threshold (TOT) for static threshold via AC using a sliding window algorithm, which actually delays the generation of alarms after configured threshold time.

The Time Over Threshold Event Rule - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Documentation

Configuring Alarm Thresholds - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Documentation

    Hope this helps
