  • 1.  Qtool to debug queue

    Posted Jun 29, 2016 03:57 AM

    Hi,

I'm coming here to know if someone have more informations about qtool (the documentation of this tool is ridiculous).

I'v a corrupted .sds and i want to repost non-corrupted message to the active queue. So if i make my command :

    qtool.exe -f corrupted_queue.sds -p -x

but i'v no information about what's going on. My file doesn't move and i dont know if my QOS message are reposted or not ! I'v already log my SDS etc..

I dont known if this is possible when to repost message when the hub is active. (The documentation dont mention that)

    Best Regards,

    Thomas

    Hi YU,

Thanks but the documentation of qtool not answer to my question. When i make my command i dont know if my "messages/qos" are reposted or not.

So my question here is to know the exact behavior when you make the command :

    qtool -f corrupted_queue.sds -p -x

    1) My file doesn't move (kb stay the same). => Normal behavior or not ? (The documentation seem to say no it's not normal)

    2) No console message about reposting messages to the active queue.

Note : My hub is online. (documentation dont say if this is possible to repost messages from a .sds to an active .sds)

    Best Regards,

    Thomas,

    Hi Thomas,

what you can try is to add  -d 1 -D output.txt in order to get a debug log, eg:

    qtool -f corrupted_queue.sds -s -p -x  -d 1 -D output.txt

If there are further problem with the file you are reading this might to understand the problem.

    Regards,

    Martin

I'v requested a new hub version to fix this behavior of excluding "good" messages and change the "catastrophic" word in the alarm.

    Hi,

I work with the lab team on a new HUB (the next GA) :

    - Nore more SDS (no messages lost)

    - No more catastrophic alarms

    Best Regards,

    Thomas
