Hello, as it is not clear for me reading the documentation, for a correct HA probe configuration, is it mandatory prerequisite the tunnel between the two hub or just a "supported" scenario?

Tunnels aren't required by the HA probe, but it supports them. If I understand your meaning correctly, you're talking of a tunnel between the HA pair. I'm not using a tunnel there myself but rather a static route.
