Trouble with snmptd after upgrading environment to 7.1

  • 1.  Trouble with snmptd after upgrading environment to 7.1

    I had a working NMS6.5 environment.

    After upgrading it to version 7.1, all the snmp trap received are not able to translate the mesage correctly.

    "alarm message text is empty" is seen in the Message received.

    snmptd version - 3.10

    Hi,

     

    I recently bumped into this and it seems to be another brainfart. It has to do with the PDU variables, check out this article https://na4.salesforce.com/articles/FrequentlyAskedQuestions/smptd-alarm-message-contains-The-text-message-is-empty?popup=true
