ADA Version 10 Upgrade

Hi,

 

 

I have a question on ADA version 10 upgrade.

Can I upgrade the management console after upgrading only some (ie not all MTPs) of the MTPs that it manages?

Or should I complete the upgrade of all the MTPs before upgrading the Management Console?

From the ADA 10.0 Release Notes -

 

We recommend upgrading your environment in the following order:

1. Upgrade the Multi-Port Monitor appliances before you upgrade CA Application Delivery Analysis. The Multi-Port Monitor is compatible with CA ADA version 9.3 and 10.0.

 

Important! CA ADA version 10.0 is not compatible with Multi-Port Monitor version 9.2. If you upgrade the CA ADA Manager to version 10.0, you will be required to upgrade a version 9.2 Multi-Port Monitor to version 10.0 to resume data collection.

 

2. Upgrade the Standard Monitors, if installed.

 

3. Upgrade the ADA Manager.

 

4. As part of the upgrade process, you should also plan to upgrade the following products, if installed, to the supported versions listed below:

■ CA Application Delivery Analysis Multi-Port Monitor version 10.0

■ CA GigaStor appliance with:

– CA Observer version 16.1.5.0

– CA GigaStor Connector version 10.0
