Is there anyway to change the default client on the login page. It comes as 0 , however we would like to change that to a custom value.

Its not quite exactly what you are looking for but I use the parameter_login.enabled=true in my set up:

This way you can specify the client with a URL. With that I just have a bookmark with the clients I use most:
https://<AWI >/#&system=ConnectionName&client=9999&name=MyUserName&department=Dept

Although it works for SYSTEM and CLIENT , do you know the keys for enabling Kerberos Login / AutoLogin.Part is RED is something I am looking for.
