XSL Transformation results

I have my XML stored in a context variable. I am using XSL transformation assertion on this variable. I want to display the results of the transformation. I tried displaying xsl result through "audit detail" as well as "template response" from this context variable "<xslt-variable-prefix.messages>", I get blank all the time. I also converted the xslt messages variable into string and tried to display, again blank.

Please let me know if anybody has successfully done this?
